International Comedy Night a First for Lincoln
This October, Live in Lincoln will once again bring laughs to Lincoln with the third of their annual comedy nights. The first two were hugely successful, with comedy lovers from miles around making each event a sell-out success. A look at the just-announced line up for 2018 indicates that this year’s event may sell out even quicker than its predecessors.
Nick Rado is an international multi-award winning presenter, producer, writer, MC and stand-up comedian who is also head writer for TV3’s Friday night comedy programme ‘Seven Days’. Melanie Bracewell is generally regarded as one of the fastest rising stars in NZ comedy, having just won the prestigious Billy T Award at this years' NZ International Comedy Festival. Her recent second solo show in both Auckland and Wellington was so successful she sold out on every night of the extended 10-night season.
Melbourne-based Rhys Nicholson has earned praise on both sides of the ditch for his unique brand of humour which the Herald describes as “rapid-fire mix of cuttingly quick wit and surprising warmth”.
Wilson Dixon – from Cripple Creek Arizona – already has quite the cult following with his unique slow-speaking, wise-cracking cowboy delivery, coupled with some of the funniest and most original songs you’ll ever hear.
These four disparate but very talented and funny comedians will be under the watchful eye of equally humorous MC, Ben Hurley. A past recipient of the Billy T James award, Ben features regularly on ‘Seven Days’ and tours extensively both here and overseas.
