It’s the annual steam extravaganza on the 14th & 15th April, New Zealand’s biggest steam event. There will be over 25 traction engines from around the country, with working traction engines giving demonstrations of, sheep shearing, oat threshing, stone crushing, saw mill, along with working horses and much more. The bush rail steam train and miniature trains will be giving rides along with traction engine rides. This really is a fantastic weekend for all ages to come and see how steam was king. Put it in your calendar for the first weekend of the school holidays on the 14th & 15th April and head to McLeans Island, Christchurch...you won't miss it....
