その壮大な曲線のガラス正面は、アボン川の形を彷彿とさせるデザインで、クライストチャーチ・アート・ギャラリーは市の主要な芸術展示スペースです。

ニュージーランドや国際的な芸術家による作品を収蔵しており、ギャラリーには恒久的な展示と変動する展示があります。オーディオツアーやギャラリーボランティアによるツアーも利用可能です。一部のツアーには手話通訳もおり、毎週子供連れの親を対象としたツアーも開催されています。

ギャラリーは他の都市の観光スポットから徒歩圏内にあり、風光明媚な路面電車のルート上に位置しています。ショップでは、コレクションをインスパイアした製品を購入するチャンスがあります。
