Aoraki/Mt Cook Encounter Guided Walk is one of the most popular in the area. Choose from a half day (3 hrs) or full day (6 hrs), and make sure to have plenty of memory in your camera. From the Hermitage Hotel, you'll trek over to White Horse Hill, snapping some truly unique panoramas and vistas along the way. Then, you'll return along the Hooker Glacier, taking in the Alpine Memorial, commemorating all the fallen climbers of Aoraki/Mt Cook. You'll also pass over the intimidating Hooker River, before being rewarded with an awesome view of the south side of Aoraki/Mt Cook.
Packed lunches are provided, as is expert guidance and a fascinating history of the region, as you trek. Just remember to bring layers, a large memory card, and some sun block, and the rest is taken care of. A unique, natural encounter.
