Tour Description
Day 1: Depart Christchurch with a train journey on the TranzAlpine Scenic Train to Arthur’s Pass. Explore Arthur’s Pass National Park via Devil's Punchbowl or Arthur's Pass walking tracks. Visit Castle Hill's limestone formations, then stop at Lake Lyndon en route to Lake Tekapo. Overnight in Lake Tekapo followed by stargazing in the Dark Sky Reserve.
Day 2: From Lake Tekapo, visit the Church of the Good Shepherd and stroll along the lake shore. Continue to Lake Pukaki and view Aoraki Mount Cook. Choose to hike the Hooker Valley Track or Tasman Glacier View Track, weather permitting, or opt for activities like a helicopter ride. Pass through Lindis Pass before reaching Queenstown for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Select either a Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound cruise in Fiordland National Park. The Milford route includes stops at Eglinton Flats, Mirror Lakes, Hollyford Valley Lookout, and Monkey Creek before the cruise. The Doubtful Sound cruise crosses Lake Manapouri and Wilmot Pass into an isolated fiord. Return to Te Anau for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Tour the Te Anau Glowworm Caves and then travel to Queenstown where the tour concludes.
