Ballantynes Department Store is a large, modern and centrally located department store housing the latest clothing, fashion and beauty brands in downtown Christchurch.
The store has undergone an extensive makeover since the 2011 earthquake and now includes a revamped cosmetic hall with 24 beauty houses, treatment rooms and a salon.
On the first floor the Atrium area is home to the leading fashion brands with an attractive interior to showcase the very latest clothing, shoe and accessory brands.
A new Contemporary Lounge sits next to the store and now houses the latest high fashion, streetwear and footwear with well known international brands such as Karen Walker, Armani Jeans, Witchery Man, Ted Baker and many more.
Ello Cafe:
The store's modern ello café is located on the first floor and can also be accessed via the entrance on 663 Colombo Street. The café uses seasonal produce to deliver freshly made dishes including hot pots, healthy salads and a range of savoury and sweet snacks . Dairy free and gluten free options are also available. The licensed café serves wine and beer in addition to coffee and teas. The café is open from 9.00am until 5.00pm on Mondays to Fridays and 10.00am until 5.00pm at the weekends.
