Get up close to our Drysdale Ram “Ram-Man” and let him eat out of the palm of your hand.
Taking place in an authentic Kiwi shearing shed you will get a taste of traditional sheep shearing including information on wool types, sheep breeds, tools and the techniques & equipment of the past. It’s not often you can be as close to the action as you can at The Point Sheep Shearing Show.
Between August and January you will get the opportunity to hold and feed one of our pet lambs. Our lambs are popular with everyone who visits , they know they will get a bottle of milk and lots of attention from our visitors! Our lambs are very friendly, cuddly and they love being part of the show and are very photogenic.
Don’t forget your camera as there are always plenty of photo opportunities.
All the action takes place in our family’s third generation shearing shed, come along and enjoy the atmosphere of an original New Zealand sheep shearing shed.
Meet the dogs Stone & Beau. They will enjoy your company, love the attention and having their photo taken.
Suitable for all ages, the show is full of fun and interesting information.
