Stunning golf course between Christchurch city and the Airport, part of the award-winning Peppers Clearwater Resort. Challenging, yet exhilarating fairways, with magnificent clubhouse.
Home to the BMW NZ Open, Clearwater Golf Resort offers visitors the chance to play on a course part-designed by one of New Zealand's golfing legends, Sir Bob Charles. Set in 465 acres of beautifully maintained and manicured greens and fairways, each hole is surrounded by peaceful lakes and natural waterways, and promises to provide one of the most relaxing (but not easy!) rounds of golf you'll ever play.
The par-72 course is suitable for players of all abilities, with five different tee settings, and the course successfully incorporates the traditions and grandeur of classic Scottish courses, with the beauty and spaciousness of the top Florida venues. Every element of Clearwater has been thoroughly considered, from the positioning and depth of the bunkers, to the walkways linking the holes, and also how best to fit in those incredible views across to the Southern Alps. Also incorporated in the course are walking tracks, trout streams, and a comprehensive set of practice driving ranges, putting greens and bunkers, that really make the most of this 6,526m course.
Overlooking the 18th hole is a substantial Clubhouse, which includes the high end Members' Lounge, with seductive views across the fairways and waterways. There's also a stylish Members' Bar, terrace, and pro shop, stocking all the top names in golf equipment and apparel, as well as golf lessons, shoe, club and cart hire, and all housed next to the Peppers Clearwater Resort's elegant dining room and Sprig Bar. Peppers Clearwater Resort can also provide accommodation in suites, rooms and apartments, for those wishing to stay longer in this luxury playground.
