Roundhill Ski Resort
There is a fantastic beginner’s area with wide gentle runs and plenty of space. The super wide undulating intermediate trails are just the right pitch to be exciting but not intimidating.
For the more advanced skiier there is Australasia’s Highest Vertical. Grab a ride on the Heritage Express Rope Tow to an elevation of 2133m and experience a 783m of vertical! The Heritage Express accesses wide open spaces, natural half pipes, chutes and some seriously steep terrain.
Ski Passes, Rentals and Lessons:
Ski passed, rentals, lift passes and lessons can all be purchased directly on the Roundhill resort website.
The Roundhill snowsports instructors provide expert tuition for beginner through to advanced skiers and snowboarders. Group lessons are perfect for young ones to learn the basics or hone their skills with other children in a safe and fun environment. For the ultimate tuition, there are private lessons.
The licenced Cafe has expansive views of Lake Tekapo and the Southern Alps with ample seating, both indoors & outdoors, and a range of food and drink options.
The “von Brown” is a quaint wee refreshment hut situated near the top of our main lift. Bask in the sun, soak up some of the best scenery around.
Getting Here:
Roundhill is located 32km drive from Lake Tekapo Village. There is no public shuttle service to Roundhill.
At Roundhill you can park your vehicle right next to the slopes. You are welcome to bring your BBQ’s and deck chairs and set up camp for the day.
