Cookai Japanese Restaurant is a family friendly restaurant in the Christchurch suburb of Riccarton.
The restaurant offers authentic Japanese food in stylish but comfortable surroundings. The menu includes sashimi and sushi as well as meat and seafood dishes. A number of tofu dishes are included which are suitable for vegetarians. A bar provides somewhere to sit and enjoy a drink while waiting for a table and the drinks menu includes New Zealand wines, New Zealand and imported beers and Japanese sake.
Knowledgeable staff can suggest the best dishes to suit a particular taste and many of the menu items are also suitable for children. A special set menu is available at lunch times.
