Big Sky Stargazing specialises in providing state of the art, professional stargazing trips out to the skies around Aoraki/Mt Cook. Departing from the Hermitage Hotel, guests will be treated to an orientation which includes images of the Milky Way displayed on the 9m x 4.5m planetarium walls.
You'll then be driven out to the viewing site, to enjoy some of the clearest skies in the world. Ideal for staring at the stars, you'll also get access to high powered binoculars and top of the range telescopes.
Pick out planets, star systems and distant galaxies, with the help of your professional guide. You'll even be given a thick stargazing coat to wear, so you don't get cold!
