100 years in the making the Avondale Golf Club has evolved from the sandhills in the east of Christchurch in to a matured, playable yet challenging 18 holes complemented by a new clubhouse unlike any other in the region.
The course and facility along with its charismatic membership is known as the “Most social golf club in Christchurch”. A fitting tag as the club was born out of founder George Scales desire to create an inclusive golfing experience over a century ago.
We love golf and we love to see golfers of all abilities, members and visitors enjoying the course and facilities.
A bunker and a number of chipping surfaces surrounding the green allow you to practice. Just metres away is a generously stocked bar and cafe. Spend an hour or 2 in the practice area and see the benefits in your next round.
