Himalayas is an Indian restaurant that specialises in cuisine from the Punjab and Himalayan regions.

The restaurant located in north Colombo Street is within easy walking distance of many central city hotels and ideally located for an after work meal with friends.

The owners and operators, JD and Pavi, are both from the Punjab region of India and have combined the cuisine of their homeland with their expertise in hospitality and management to run the Christchurch restaurant.

The menu includes many favourites from the Punjab region including butter chicken and paneer cheese dishes. Lassi, a drink made from yoghurt mixed with sugar, salt, or mango pulp, is also served.
