Directions to Fox II Sailing Akaroa
Spend a day sailing in scenic Akaroa Harbour and the Pacific Ocean with Fox II Sailing, an eco-friendly company.
Fox II Sailing takes guests on a memorable outing, sailing first through the crater of an extinct volcano and then out into the Pacific Ocean. On the way, you'll likely see seals, albatross and penguins. Spotting a Hector's dolphin, one of Akaroa's most famed residents, is guaranteed.
On the way, you'll learn a lot about the local history and geography from your knowledgeable and approachable guide. You also have the option of helping to crew the vessel, or to just relax and enjoy the ride.
Because the Fox II is wind-powered, the boat is eco-friendly and does not pollute the beautiful harbour with diesel or noise. The company is also interested in helping keep the area and its animals safe and healthy, and donated a part of its proceeds to dolphin conservation research.
