Ravaged and reduced in an earthquake in 2011, the building that now plays host to Under the Red Veranda is a purpose built coffee shop that is still adorned with the epithetical red veranda and window shutters that had characterised the café since 1997.
The relaxed ambience of the cafe's courtyard and natural interior is relaxed and organic, with a food menu to match. One of the forerunners in Christchurch's health food boom, the Red Veranda is now also home to a deli and clothes shop that sells homemade produce, organic health foods, creatively designed clothing and sustainably sourced kitchen utensils.

Monday to Friday: 7.30am - 4.00pm / Saturday and Sunday 8.30am - 4.00pm.
