Tours Biking Adventure Activities The Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail takes cyclists through some of the South Island's most dramatic scenery. The 300km cycling route passes from the tussocky alpine Mackenzie Country with its turquoise lakes, through rural towns to the Pacific Ocean in historic Oamaru.

From Christchurch, you'll be driven to the rugged Mackenzie Country, with its alps, hydro and glacial lakes, and incredibly starry skies.  Then onto the bikes to travel through beautiful rural townships including Omarama, Otematata, Kurow and Duntroon.  The final destination from the alps to the ocean is the harbour in Oamaru's Victorian Precinct before the return drive to Christchurch.

The tour includes all meals and accommodation, luggage portage and use of the support vehicle throughout the trip
