Clink Restaurant and Bar
Christchurch
Clink Restaurant and Bar is located on land in Sumner once used to house mutineers detained aboard a settler ship from England.
The ship, which set sail in 1779, was captained by an Englishman called Lord Lonsdale who quelled a mutiny amongst the crew during a wild storm and managed to land the ship safely at Sumner. Descendants of the family now own the land where the restaurant evokes the history of the site in its name.
The restaurant serves a variety of contemporary dishes as well as a menu of thin crust pizzas. Brunch is available at weekends and the bar includes wine and beer as well as cocktails.
Event Facilities:
Whether it’s a wedding, birthday, corporate event or cocktail party, a successful function has the right mix of excellent food, a relaxed environment and friendly, efficient service. The team at Clink pride themselves on all of this and with a range of areas to choose from including a private dining room, sheltered courtyard, restaurant and historic bar.
