This restaurant bar has an energetic and lively interior that oozes Latin charm, and a fusion food menu to match.
Head chef Mark Sycamore is noted for his use of South American techniques, and his offering at the Tequila Mockingbird is something of a hybrid between the strong flavours of the Latin continent and home grown New Zealand classics.
Consequently, the menu is heavily meat based, but the house special 'cubanos', along with a number of other dishes can be made to suit vegetarians.
The Mockingbird straddles the line between pub, club, bar and restaurant nicely, and there are often live DJs spinning well into the night.
