Air Kaikoura is a small, friendly Aero Club. Our pilots are qualified flight instructors and our team is enthusiastic about providing you with an experience of a lifetime.

You'll take the controls and learn the basics of flying, while enjoying stunning views of the spectacular Seaward Kaikoura mountain ranges and Kaikoura coastline from the air. Take a friend along for the ride with our Pilot A Plane plus Passenger experience.

Whale Watching in Kaikoura will be a highlight of your trip to New Zealand. Air Kaikoura Aero Club was the first to offer Whale Watching flights in Kaikoura and for the last 30 years has been providing amazing whale experiences.
Let Murray and his friendly team of pilots take you out over the Kaikoura Sea Canyon to view the mighty Sperm whale, from the tip to the tail.  Air Kaikoura boasts a 95% success rate, an opportunity to see other marine and mammal wildlife on your trip and the option to extend your flight to give you the best chance of success.

Air Kaikoura guarantees a flight with a minimum of two passengers, and our fleet includes our newest addition, the 8 seater GA-8 Airvan, a high wing aircraft perfect for scenic flights.
